As part of its ongoing youth engagement and public awareness initiative, the Seychelles Defence Forces (SDF) Recruitment Team conducted a two-day educational outreach programme on the Inner Islands.
The sessions were held at Vijay International School, Praslin Secondary School and La Digue School. The programme was facilitated in collaboration with Ms. Camilla Cupidon, representing the Commonwealth Youth Council.
The primary objectives of the educational talks were to sensitise the younger generation on the role, structure, and functions of the Seychelles Defence Forces. Inform students of the various career opportunities and vocational pathways available within the SDF. Highlight the importance of the military in national security, sovereignty, and national development.
The Seychelles Defence Forces continues to recognise the importance of engaging with the youth through schools and recruitment fairs as part of a broader strategy to build awareness of the armed forces contribution to national development.
As a result SDF remains committed to conducting such educational outreach programmes to inspire and attract capable and dedicated individuals to join the force.
