
Seychelles Delegation Participates in High-Level Regional Meetings in Mauritius
A high-level Seychelles delegation recently participated in a series of strategic meetings held in Mauritius, aimed at strengthening regional maritime security and cooperation.
The delegation included Brigadier General Jean Attala, Deputy Chief of Defence Forces (DCDF); Mr. Ralph Agrippine, Seychelles Permanent Liaison Officer to the Indian Ocean Commission (IOC); Major Hans Radegonde, Director of Operations, Seychelles Coast Guard; Major Gerald Wong-Pool, Director of the National Information-Sharing and Coordination Centre (NISCC); and Captain Luke Fonseka, Liaison Officer at the Regional Centre for Operational Coordination (RCOC).
The team attended three back-to-back meetings:
• The 3rd Steering Committee Meeting of the EU-funded Port Security and Safety of Navigation Programme (PSP) in Eastern and Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean,
• The official launch of the EU-funded Safe Seas Africa (SSA) programme, and
• The 11th Steering Committee Meeting of the MASE Regional Agreements.
These engagements reflect Seychelles’ continued commitment to regional cooperation, maritime security, and strategic partnerships.
