This morning, the Seychelles Defence Forces had the honour of welcoming Dr. Patrick Herminie, President of the Republic of Seychelles and Commander-in-Chief of the SDF, accompanied by Vice President Mr. Sebastien Pillay, on his first official visit to the SDF Integrated Headquarters at Bel Eau.
The Commander-in-Chief was greeted with a Guard of Honour before being received by the Chief of Defence Forces and the SDF leadership. During the visit, the C-in-C held discussions with senior officers and staff, received an operational briefing by the Deputy CDF Brigadier Jean Attala, and took time to meet with other ranks and civilian personnel.
A souvenir photo session and presentation of a token of appreciation marked the close of the event, followed by light refreshments shared in a spirit of camaraderie and respect.
This visit symbolizes the C-in-C’s continued support and recognition of the vital role the Seychelles Defence Forces play in safeguarding our nation’s peace, security, and sovereignty.
