Seychelles Air Force Receives Fuel Isotainers from SEYPEC.

The Seychelles Petroleum Company (SEYPEC) officially handed over fuel isotainers to the Seychelles Air Force during a ceremony held this morning at the Military Training Support Centre (MTSC).

Present at the ceremony were the President of the Republic of Seychelles and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, Mr. Wavel Ramkalawan, Vice President Mr. Ahmed Afif, Chief of Defence Forces Major General Michael Rosette members of the Defence Forces Council, SEYPEC Board Chairperson, Ms. Jennifer Morel, SEYPEC CEO, Mrs. Sarah Romain as well as senior staff of SEYPEC, representatives from the Island Development Company, and officers of the Seychelles Defence Forces.

In her remarks, SEYPEC Chief Executive Officer Mrs. Sarah Romain emphasized SEYPEC’s continued commitment to supporting national security and ensuring energy resilience for the Defence Forces. She noted that the fuel isotainers would provide the Air Force with enhanced logistical capacity and sustainability in its operations.

Chief of Defence Forces, Major General Michael Rosette, highlighted the importance of the partnership between SEYPEC and the SDF, stressing that the isotainers will play a crucial role in boosting the Air Force’s readiness and ability to respond effectively to national and regional challenges.

The ceremony also included a blessing by Defence Forces Chaplain Lieutenant Colonel Louis Agathine, an inspection of the new equipment, and an overview of the operational functions that the isotainers will support. The handing over of these fuel isotainers not only strengthens the Seychelles Air Force’s capacity but also underscores the vital cooperation between SEYPEC and the Defence Forces in ensuring the nation’s strategic preparedness.
