Brigadier General Jean Attala, Deputy Chief of Defence Forces, and Warrant Class One Morel, Acting Force Warrant Officer, represented Seychelles at the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF) Maritime Security Conference held in Manama, Bahrain, from May 12–14, 2025.

The annual conference, hosted by the world’s largest naval partnership, brought together delegates and partners from CMF member nations to discuss shared maritime security challenges and opportunities.

Throughout the three-day event, participants reviewed key initiatives and accomplishments from the past year, explored strategic objectives for the future, and coordinated plans for CMF Coalition Task Forces aimed at strengthening regional maritime security and international cooperation.

Headquartered in Bahrain, CMF is the world’s largest multinational naval partnership, comprising 46 nations dedicated to promoting a rules-based international order at sea. CMF works to ensure security, stability, and prosperity across approximately 3.2 million square miles of vital international waters, including key global shipping routes.

The Seychelles Defence Forces actively contribute to CMF operations, maintaining two officers at CMF headquarters in Bahrain and supporting missions with air assets and other collaborative efforts.
